Meet the people behind Soulvation
ANGE - Vocals
Ange has been interested in music for many years, singing her first duet 'Sweet Angel of Mine' aged 9 in a Christmas Nativity play! She continued singing in a choir whilst at Withington Girls' School in Manchester and participated in a choir tour of Italy, where she was fortunate to sing in St. Mark's Basilica, Venice. Ange has also enjoyed singing in the Liverpool Harmonic Gospel Choir which is directed by Tyndale Thomas MBE. After leaving this choir, Ange sang with her sister Lucy-Ann in a band she formed with a number of soul musicians. In the summer of 2012, she joined Soulvation and has been singing with this extremely talented group of musicians ever since.

After a break from playing in live bands he joined Junction 31 function band and depped numerous times with Soulvation. He is now happy to be part of the band and is looking forward to gigging and entertaining the people of the North West.
IAN - Lead Guitar
Ian (Big E) joined his first band aged 12 and started playing the social clubs at 14.
Since then he has played everything from Country and Western, Blues, Irish folk, and Indie Rock through to Hard Rock, including performing at many motorcycle rallies.
Ian toured Scandinavia for 10 years as part of a Beatles tribute band and also played in the backing band of one of Denmark’s top entertainers, leading to a number one single and a platinum selling album.
Most of Ian’s fellow musicians do not know that he has a passion for playing disco/funk/soul.....until now, the secret is out now that he's joined SOULvation.
KEV - Bass
Kev has been playing bass over 25 years in a variety of original, cover, function and tribute bands. He was a teenage rock and metal fan who discovered soul and Motown via The Commitments and Blues Brothers films, opening up a new musical world he continues to explore.
Making up half of the rhythm section along with John, they aim to have the audience moving and grooving from the start to the end of every gig, with their tight and funky playing.
JOHN - Drums/Percussion
Despite four decades behind the kit John’s still “Lost in Music”. With a wealth of experience from touring bands, to studio session work and record production plus a “keep it simple” philosophy and a solid back beat means his playing is very much the heartbeat that puts the soul into ”SOULvation”.
